Enjoy your life at every moment

Once a fisherman was sitting near seashore, under the shadow of a tree smoking his beedi. Suddenly a rich businessman passing by approached him and enquired as to why he was sitting under a tree smoking and not working. To this the poor fisherman replied that he had caught enough fishes for the day.

Hearing this the rich man got angry and said: Why don’t you catch more fishes instead of sitting in shadow wasting your time?

Fisherman asked: What would I do by catching more fishes?

Businessman: You could catch more fishes, sell them and earn more money, and buy a bigger boat.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could go fishing in deep waters and catch even more fishes and earn even more money.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could buy many boats and employ many people to work for you and earn even more money.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could become a rich businessman like me.

Fisherman: What would I do then?

Businessman: You could then enjoy your life peacefully.

Fisherman: Isn’t that what I am doing now?

Moral – You don’t need to wait for tomorrow to be happy and enjoy your life. You don’t even need to be more rich, more powerful to enjoy life. LIFE is at this moment, enjoy it fully.

As some great men have said “My riches consist not in extent of my possessions but in the fewness of my wants”.

Samsung Galaxy S5 to come with 2K display, eye-scanning sensor: Report

Samsung at its Analyst Day event in Korea had revealed plans for launching devices with a screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels (2K) next year.
Now, a new report emerging from Korea suggests such a device is already in development, and that the company will announce the alleged smartphone at MWC in February 2014. However, the report does not confirm whether the alleged smartphone with a screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels (2K) will be the rumoured, and anticipated Galaxy S5.
samsung-iris-scanner-rumour-635.jpg
Earlier this month, a GFXBench listing had revealed a device codenamed Samsung SM-G900S sporting a screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels (2K). The device was believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is expected to come with a 5.0- or 5.2-inch display, making the pixel density an incredible 560ppi at the said resolution.

In addition, the report also reveals that the South Korean giant is working on its next line of smartphones that will equip iris recognition or eye-scanning technology for unlocking the phone, authentication etc. Samsung's expected next flagship smartphone (the Galaxy S5) will probably be the first device to pack such a feature. Unfortun

Windows Phone 8.1's rumoured notification customisation settings leaked in image

Windows Phone users, who have been missing a notification centre, might soon be relieved, if an image of the incoming Windows Phone 8.1 is true.
WMPoweruser has posted an image showing the purported lockscreen settings of the upcoming revamped version of the Windows Phone operating system, Windows Phone 8.1.

The purported image of the Windows Phone 8.1 shows notification customisation settings that include up to four quick access settings. The leaked image also reveals a new turn on/off notification feature for apps, which will reportedly not disable the Live Tiles functionality of the app on the device. In addition, the leaked image also shows a banner notification for the Windows Phone, although it does not detail the functionality. The leaked image also includes icons for Wi-Fi Hot spot, brightness, Wi-Fi and airplane mode.

Unfortunately, the purportedly leaked image of the Windows Phone 8.1 notification customisation settings is blurred and not all features are visible.

On Tuesday, a report revealed that Microsoft would ship its upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 with two new features - a notification centre that can be accessed by swiping down from top of the screen, just like Android and iOS, apart from a voice-based assistant believed to be codenamed 'Cortana'.

The report suggested that Microsoft intends to replace the existing Bing Search on Windows Phone devices to offer voice or text input interactions. The Verge claims that the rumoured voice-based assistant 'Cortana' will be similar to Apple Siri technology and Google Now, and can learn location context from the Windows Phone device.

The report noted that the Redmond giant has been testing copies of Windows Phone 8.1 internally and plans to unveil the rumoured Windows Phone upgrade at Build Developer Conference in April next year.

CREDIT POLICY OF RBI ..RBI keeps repo, CRR unchanged; to act if inflation warrants

As India continues to battle the scenario of low growth and high inflation, RBI governor Raghuram Rajan pleasantly surprised the market by keeping key rates unchanged. In its mid-quarter monetary policy meet on Wednesday, the Reserve Bank of India left repo rate unchanged at 7.75 percent and CRR at 4 percent of net demand and time liability (NDTL), saying it was willing to wait for more inflation data before taking an action. Consequently, the reverse repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) remained unchanged at 6.75 percent, and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate stood at 8.75 percent.
The apex bank, however, conveyed the message that this policy is a "closed one" and an action can be taken even on off policy dates if inflation does not behave. "There is merit in waiting for more data to reduce uncertainty," the RBI governor justified. Speaking to the press soon after the policy announcement, Raghuram Rajan said the policy should not be construed as RBI being soft on inflation. He said curbs on borrowing from LAF window will continue.

Reacting to the RBI inaction, bond yield inched lower and market rose sharply led by banks.

A total of 90 percent respondents of a CNBC-TV18 poll on "expectation from the RBI monetary policy" had voted for a 25 bps rate hike .

The tight monetary policy aimed at killing pricing power had resulted in compromising growth, which is now forecasted at 4.7 percent for FY14. The policy noted that lacklustre lead indicators of services and subdued domestic consumption demand suggest continuing headwinds to growth. "Tightening government spending in Q4 to meet budget projections will add to these headwinds. In this context, the revival of stalled investment, especially in the projects cleared by the Cabinet Committee on Investment, will be critical."

But the core WPI inflation (excluding food, oil and metals) has managed to stay at 3.5%, pretty much at last month’s levels which is why the apex bank had decided to halt for a while. However, the November WPI inflation touched 7.5 percent driven by a spike in food prices, beating the street consenus of 7 percent. November CPI inflation too came in at 11.2% versus an expectation of 10.6%.

The policy statement clearly says that the high level of CPI inflation excluding food and fuel leaves no room for complacency. "There are indications that vegetable prices may be turning down sharply, although trading mark-ups could impede the full pass-through in to retail inflation."

Sony Xperia Tablet Z Review: Blending durability with style

Sony has been working hard these past couple of years to carve a niche for itself in the mobile arena. Though it has finally got the recognition it craves with its feature packed Xperia Z line-up of smartphones, it is still a novice player in the tablet world. Its previous portfolio of slates hasn't helped it either. The Xperia Z tablet, however, seems like a whole new ball game. Check out our review of the device to see what sets this stylish offering apart from its competition.

Design

The Xperia Z is a gorgeous piece of equipment. Its sleek, slim design lends it a sophistication few others can offer on their devices. Its 10.1-inch LED backlit LCD display is of course its most striking feature, though even when the screen is off, the slate ooze class with its minimalist design and neat lines. With a thickness of just 6.9mm and a weight of only 495g, Sony certainly has a winner as far as design goes.
Sony has maintained the tablet's minimalist feel by grouping a number of its connectivity ports on the left hand edge of the slate and covering them with flaps. These flaps merge into the rest of the machine, since they sport the same high-gloss charcoal black finish as the rest of the tablet's surround. The power button stands out with its machined aluminium.

The port flaps do more than simply add to the tablets style though, for along with a bunch of other specs, they have helped the Xperia Z to earn a IPX5/7 certification. The waterproof slate can remain in clear water up to three feet deep for 30 minutes.

Sony has intelligently positioned the tablet's speakers on the left and the right edges as well. They are thus not obscured when one holds the device and uses it on one's lap.

Display

The Xperia Tablet Z's Full HD backlit LCD screen is one of the best in the business, backed as it is by Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine. It packs in a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 224ppi.

The tablet boasts of some beautiful imagery and colour reproduction. Images on the slate are sharp, defined and detailed, with blacks being deep and other colours vibrant. Watching videos on the device is a delight thanks to its wider aspect ratio that makes movies appear just as they were intended.

Viewing angles on the slate are certainly worth writing home about also, although its scratch-resistant shatterproof glass is very shiny and in direct sunlight quite reflective. The tablet is a magnet for finger prints too.

Google Nexus 5 Review: Sleek, sexy and oh-so-smart

Google had created quite a stir in the mobile arena last year when it introduced the well endowed Nexus 4 smartphone into the market. Now, it has nothing short of a coup on its hands with the next generation Nexus 5 - an inexpensive phone that is both beautiful and brainy. We spent some time with the handset and came away rather impressed.
Google Nexus 5

Design

Google and LG seem to be a winning partnership. Taking on from the design aesthetics of the Nexus 4, the Nexus 5 is sleeker, slimmer and sexier than ever before. Though it is a large handset, it doesn't feel bulky to the touch at all and in fact is quite comfortable to use and carry. Its curved edges soften its otherwise polished lines and make is convenient to place in a pocket or bag.

Despite its affordable price tag, the Nexus 5 looks like a premium device, specially with its ceramic volume rocker and power buttons. Its ultra slim side bezels and clean fascia give it a touch of modernity and sophistication. Even the bezels above and below the display are thin, even while housing the speaker, front-facing camera and ambient light sensors on top and the notification LED on the bottom.

The black and white variants of the handset add to its classic appeal. The soft touch plastic that the phone sports is easy on the eyes and to the touch. Smooth to the hand, it has enough friction to stop the handset slipping out of one's grip. Its slightly rounded back adds to the Nexus 5's comfort factor too, as does it's light weight of 130g.
However, like all other 5-inch handsets, one handed use is slightly tricky on the Nexus 5. It is certainly possible, especially for those with large hands, after a bit of adjustment.
It thin yet functional Gorilla Glass 3 front coating lends the Nexus 5 quite a bit of durability but one needs to be a little careful about the camera sensor that's located at the back of the handset, towards the top left corner. It bulges out a bit and when the phone is laid down, it tends to rest on the protrusion.

Display

The 4.95-inch IPS Plus LCD display on the Nexus 5 is a joy to behold with its Full HD resolution and its razor sharp pixel density. Images on the phone are richly detailed, vivid and colourful with a depth to match while texts are clear, crisp and sharp. The screen is bright and makes for comfortable viewing even in direct sunlight. The guys over at The Full Signal are also impressed with its great viewing angles.

The most exciting handsets expected to hit the mobile phone market in the coming year

1. Samsung Galaxy S5: Samsung's next flagship promises to take smartphoning to new heights with its new-age features. Believed to be powered by a 64-bit processor, it is said to house an architecture of 16 cores and a RAM of 3/4 GB. Other rumoured goodies on the phone include a 32 multitouch screen, a water proof casing, wireless charging and an eye scanning sensor.
Upcoming smartphones
Samsung is expected to finally do away with its plasticy form factor and give the Galaxy S5 a carbon fiber or an aluminum casing. Powered by Android's latest operating system, the flagship is speculated to be equipped with a 16-megapixel primary camera, complete with OIS.

2. Apple iPhone 6: Apple is rumoured to unveil its next iPhone earlier than usual next year. If all those leaks are to be believed, the iPhone 6 might break cover as early as May of 2014. Leaving its 64-bit processor and its Touch ID unchanged, Apple is expected to give its new handset a bigger screen and possibly even a curved display, along with a larger RAM. Storage options are said to remain the same on the new flagship, which will of course carry the next iOS build out of the box.

Like the Galaxy S5, gaze detection technology on the iPhone 6 is believed to make the handset more power efficient than before. Rumour has it that Apple may finally go in for a Full HD display on its next flagship, as well as up its cores to four and its camera to a 12 or a 13-megapixel one.

3. HTC M8: HTC is hoping to catch up in the smartphone race in a big way with its next flagship, codenamed M8. The handset reportedly boasts of a premium build quality with its slim wraparound metal body. The 5-inch smartphone supposedly packs in a 2K resolution of 2048 × 1080 pixels. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.2 GHz 800 processor and a 3 GB RAM apparently power the device along with Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense 6.0. The handset most certainly houses an Ultra Pixel camera and rumour has it that it even sports the ability to take 3D snapshots. Of course, the phone comes with a fingerprint sensor as well.

4. Sony Xperia Z2 Avatar: Sony is all set to lead the smartphone market with its display and its camera technologies. Taking on from where the well endowed Xperia Z1 left off, the Xperia Z2 Avatar supposedly runs on a 3 GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat and a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset. The handset is expected to sport a resolution of a whooping 506ppi while its 20.7-megapixel primary camera reportedly comes equipped with a Xenon flash. As with some of Sony's other handsets, the Xperia Z2 is most likely to pack in water and dust resistance along with a premium build quality.

5. Nokia Lumia 1820: Nokia is rumoured to give its new imaging flagship a metal unibody design and a Lytro-style camera that allows users to change the focus after they have clicked a photograph. The Lumia 1820 is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and is believed to come with Microsoft's Siri-like personal assistant Cortana built-in. We expect to see a Full HD display and a powerful processor on the device as well.

Will 2014 be a good year for the stock markets?

Most foreign institutional investors and domestic brokerage and fund houses are likely to enter 2014 with more optimism than in the past few years. So far, the BSE Sensex has returned about 8 per cent this year, while the BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices tumbled 9 per cent and 16.5 per cent respectively. Among sectors, technology and pharma shares have done extremely well in 2013. So, what is in store for the market in 2014 and which theme will play out strong returns?
The biggest event of the year is the general election in May. Analysts are already crystal-gazing on the outcome of the election. Most analysts wish that a stable dispensation will be in place at the Centre after the election, preferably one led by Narendra Modi with a comfortable working majority.
According to Goldman Sachs (November 28 report), 2014 will be a transition year for India. “This is primarily due to the important Parliamentary elections expected in April-May 2014. Greater reform momentum, combined with a removal of uncertainties, could propel the economy forward and improve its diminishing growth potential,” Andrew Tilton has said in the report.

Apart from the general election, other major risks include tapering of the easy liquidity policy by the US Federal Reserve and China's growth.

Among sectors, most analysts prefer stocks that will benefit from an economic revival and sectors such as auto, private banks and oil, which could gain from reforms.

Some even advise a small exposure to deep cyclicals, which include beaten-down infrastructure players and Government banks.

Analysts expect the banking and financial sector to outperform in the coming year, as net NPAs (bad loans) may have peaked. They foresee that asset quality issues may abate in the next few quarters. For most, valuations are attractive at current levels, particularly for PSU banks, but suggest that investors limit their exposure to large-cap banks.

Analysts also believe the metal sector will outperform, driven by the improving demand outlook of developed economies.

Telecom also finds favour with analysts on account of consistent earnings upgrades.

Most analysts also expect 2014 will be a strong year for companies that will increase investment spending. Besides, companies doing large buybacks and firms with a high operating leverage will also do well. As the economy improves, companies with high fixed costs will also do better in 2014, say analysts.

However, they see little upward scope for healthcare and pharmaceuticals stocks, given their current valuations.

Information technology remains neutral for most financial advisors. Though most analysts estimate the IT sector will continue to see earnings upgrades and would likely benefit further from the early signs of demand revival in the US, they feel most IT stocks, particularly large-caps, are ruling at elevated valuations.

Most analysts are also advising investors to stay away from fast-moving consumer durable stocks due to expensive valuations.

Diversification is a strong argument for Indian investors. A part of the investments can be considered for gold and global stocks/indices, advise analysts.

But one common piece of advice to retail investors, particularly from domestic brokerages, is to seriously consider passive investment vehicles such as index funds and diversified equity funds.

WORD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE "KUTTANADU"(INDIA,KERALA)

Endless stretches of backwaters and palm-fringed emerald islets are the unique features of this low-lying vista in central Kerala. Vast stretches of green paddy fields criss crossed by canals and dotted by occasional islands of coconut groves, Kuttanad is the granary of Kerala where most of its rice is grown. Many parts of Kuttanad are some 4 to 10 feet below sea level. Four major rivers of Kerala, the Pamba, Achankovil, Meenachil and Manimala rivers, flow into Kuttanad. Discover the beauty of Kuttanad on a houseboat ride through the enchanting backwaters and canals of Kuttanad.
Getting there

By rail:
Alappuzha is the nearest railway station.

By air:
Cochin International Airport, about 85 km from Alappuzha, is the nearest airport.

HISTORY

There is no recorded history on the origin of this land. But the oral history among local people, transferred from generation to generation is a blend of myths and legends. There is reference to Kuttanad in the epic Mahabharata of ancient India. During their exile, the five Pandava princes are said to have traveled through this land. In those days, Kuttanad was part of a dense forest, later destroyed by a forest fire which is also mentioned in the epic. Thus came the place name Chuttanad or the burnt place. In course of time Chuttanad became Kuttanad. One can still see kari or coal if we dig deep into the soil of Kuttanad, pointing to the fact that the place was once a forest, destroyed by wild fire. In Kuttanad most of the place names end in kari. Some familiar place names are Ramankary, Puthukkary, Oorukkary, Mithrakary, Mampuzhakkary, Kainakari, Chathurthiakary and Chennamkari. It is also said that kuttanad was once under the sea.the proof is the land is flourished with seashells.
During the reign of Chera dynasty that ruled over ancient Kerala, Kuttanad attained an important place in history. One of the powerful kings in the dynasty: Cheran Chenguttavan is said to have ruled his vast kingdom from Kuttanad, when it was also a famous centre of Buddhism. There is another version for its place name. The Buddhist centre Buddhanad later became Kuttanad.

Backwater Paddy Cultivation

The major occupation in Kuttanad is farming. Rice is the important agricultural product, giving Kuttanad the moniker of "The Rice Bowl of Kerala". Three crops are grown every year now instead of the traditional two per year. Large farming areas near Vembanad Lake were actually reclaimed from the lake. The history of the paddy cultivation in Kuttanad can be traced back to centuries. The evolution of paddy cultivation in Kuttanad was correlated to the technological advancement and changes in the regulatory frame-work existed during the 19th and 20th centuries. In the earlier times, the reclamation was done mainly from the shallow part of the Vembanad Lake or from the periphery of river Pamba. These reclamations constituted small areas of paddy fields called “Padsekharams”.The bailing out of water from those fields were done manually using water wheels named “Chakram”. Gradually the manual method used for bailing out of water gave way to steam engines.
Three distinct stages can be identified in the reclamation of kayal lands from the Vembanad Lake. In the first stage it was carried out by private entrepreneurs without any financial support from the part of the government. The ‘Pattom Proclamation’ made by the Travencore Kingdom in the year 1865, gave a great fillip to the reclamation activities between 1865 to1890.During this period de-watering of the polders were done manually using waterwheels Chakram) restricting large-scale reclamations. Only about 250 hectares of land were reclaimed during this period. Venad kayal and Madathil Kayal that were reclaimed during this period are considered as the first ‘Kayal Nilams’ which were reclaimed from the Vembanad Lake.[2] These pioneering reclamation activity of kayal cultivation was made by two brothers Mathai Luka Pallithanam and Ouseph Luka Pallithanam belonging to Kainady village in Kuttanadu.[3] The period between 1865 and 1890 is usually considered as the first phase of kayal cultivation.
The introduction of kerosene engines for dewatering resulted in the reclamation of wider areas of the lake for cultivation. It made the farmers to think of venturing into the deeper parts of the lake. During the period between 1898 to 1903, reclamation activity was led by Pallithanam Luka Mathai (alias Pallithanathu Mathaichen) who reclaimed the Cherukara Kayal and Pallithanam Moovayiram Kayal. But second phase (1890 to 1903) of reclamation activities came to a halt because of the ban on kayal reclamation imposed by the Madras Government in 1903.Cherukali Kayal, Rama Rajapuram Kayal, Aarupanku Kayal, Pantharndu Panku kayal and Mathi Kayal were the other major reclamations during this period.
In 1912, Madras Government approved a proposal from the Travencore Government for further reclamations in three stages. Under this reclamation scheme kayal land was notified for reclamation in blocks each named by an English alphabet. Out of the total area of 19,500 acres of kayal land 12,000 acres were reclaimed between 1913 and 1920. After the removal of the ban in 1913, Pallithanam Luca Matthai along with some other prominent families in Kuttanadu, reclaimed E-Block Kayal measuring a total area 2,400 acres. This is the biggest kayal nilam in Kuttanadu. C.J. Kurian, Ex MLC and Mr. John Illikalam were his main partners in this venture. The reclamations between 1914 and 1920 are known as new reclamations, which were carried out in three periods. In the first period Blocks A to G measuring an 6300 Acres were reclaimed. C Block, D Block(Attumukham Aarayiram (Attumuttu Kayal), Thekke Aarayiram and Vadakke Aarayiram) and E Block(Erupathinalayiram Kayal) F Block(Judge's Aarayiram Kayal) and G Block(Kochu Kayal) are the major Kayal nilams reclaimed during this period.
During the second period of new reclamation, blocks H to N measuring 3600 acres were reclaimed under the leadership of Pallithanam Luca Matthai, Cunnumpurathu Kurien, Vachaparampil Mathen, Pazhayaparmpil Chacko and Kannathusseril Peious. During the third period of new reclamation R Block Kayal measuring 1,400 acres were reclaimed by the joint effort of eight families led by Pallithanam Luca Matthai, Vachaparampil Mathen and Pazhayaparmpil Chacko.
From 1920 to 1940 reclamation activity came to a halt because of the steep drop in the price of rice.
Pallithanam Luca Matthai who had served as member of Moolam Thirunal of Travancore's Praja Sabha (Popular Assembly) was considered as the pioneer of cooperative agricultural movement in Kuttanadu. His life marked the beginning of the epoch of first generation Kayal Raja's of Kuttanad.(Kayal Raja is the term generally used to refer to the prominent kayal cultivators in the Kuttanadu region). In 1931, in order to strengthen the farming community in Kuttanadu he founded Kuttandu Karshaka Sangham(Kuttanadu Agricultural Association). From the beginning of his farming career in his teens (he was only eighteen years when he reclaimed the cherukara kayal), he brought together like minded people and successfully led the reclamation activity from 1898 to 1940.
Due to the steep decline in the price of rice during 1920 to 1940 the reclamation activities become lethargic, but they gained momentum again in the early 1940s. During this period, in order to increase the agricultural output, Government initiated Grow More Food campaiagn and started providing incentives to encourage new reclamations. The advent of electric motors made the reclamations relatively easier, cheaper and less risky as compared to the earlier periods. The last tract of the reclamations namely Q, S and T block were made during this period by Thomman Joseph Murickummoottil (Muricken Outhachan). He did cultivation in a very large extent of reclaimed area and achieved such a success that he was crowned as "Krishi Rajan" (farmer king) by the then prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. The prominent families in Kuttanadu who were involved in the backwater paddy cultivation are Pallithanam, Vallickadu, Vachaparampil, Pazhayaparmpil, Punnadamvakkal, Chalayil, Kandakudy, Illikalam, Akkara, Ettuparayil, Mangalapallil, Paruthickal, Meledom, Murukkummootil, Puthenpurayil, Pattasseril etc.
As the farming in the area increased farmers felt themselves constrained by the two cycles a year for rice cultivation. The reason for which is the limited availability of potable water in Kuttanadu. During the monsoon seasons, the water from the mountains flow through the rivers to the sea, bringing potable water to Kuttanadu. But during summer, due to the low level of the region, seawater enters Kuttanadu and makes the salt content of the water high making it unpotable.

Thottappilli Spillway

In 1968, the government of India proposed that a bund (Dam) be made across the river so that seawater would not be allowed to come inside Kuttanad during summer, allowing farmers to cultivate an extra crop per year. The project was planned in three phases, the south side, the north side and another phase to join the two sections. The project was delayed and by the time the first two phases were complete the entire money allotted for the project ran out and left the final phase in limbo. The farmers who were expecting lots of financial benefits after the completion of the project decided to take matters into their own hands and one night in 1972, a large group of farmers filled the gap between the north and the south side with earth. To this day, the earth embankment between the two sections of the bundh remains. With this, it was possible to close the regulator of shutters during December–June when the saline water enters, and then open it during monsoon. Once the Thanneermukkam bund and spillway became operational two crops were possible in Kuttanad.
Even though the bund has improved the quality of life of the farmers, the bund is alleged to have caused severe environmental problems. The backwaters which were abundant with fish and part of the staple food of the people of the region require a small amount of salt water for its breeding. The bund has caused deterioration of fish varieties in the region and the fishermen opposed to the bund as of 2005. The bund has also disrupted the harmony of the sea with the backwaters and has caused problems not foreseen before the bund like the omniprescence of the water weeds.

Labrador Retriever

Chewing and mouthing is a common problem among Labradors. You will need to keep lots of chew toys and bones on hand in order to save your furniture and shoes. They like to greet returning family members and visitors with a trophy in their mouth, as well, so keep an eye on anything within his reach that is not tacked down. Exercising your lab before you leave the house and providing him with lots of bones is a must if you don't want to come home and find couches destroyed.
Labs love holding things in their mouths, virtually anything will do, even hands or arms which they do very gently. A Lab can carry an egg in its mouth without breaking it, they have a very soft "feel" to their mouths. They do like chewing on things, but they can be trained not to.

Labradors do not normally make good watchdogs, although they will bark at a strange noise. They are far too easy going and trusting with strangers, being their best friend within 2 seconds of seeing them
The Labrador Retriever is the original water dog, with a weather resistant and waterproof coat and an "otter" tail it uses to steer like a boat's rudder when swimming. Its heavy body set and strong legs enable the Labrador Retriever to powerfully swim and run - and frequent exercise is needed to keep the Labrador Retriever dog breed healthy and occupied. Amicable and sociable, the Labrador Retriever is a playful companion and a calm housedog.

Golden Retriever

the Golden gets along with children, strangers, the elderly, other dogs, cats, and pets. They'll happily dismiss all those dumb mistakes you're bound to make. Whether you come home two hours late, forget his dinner bowl, or accidentally step on his tail, he'll forget it ever happened once you smile at him. Newspaper accounts document the fact that even traumatic events like abuse, abandonment and accidents don't affect a Golden for any great length of time. A Golden's ability to "bounce back," and keep on loving and trusting people, is legendary.Golden Retriever Peel and Stick Wall Decals

German Shepherd

German Shepherd Puppy Peel and Stick Wall Decals
The German shepherd is the world's leading police, guard and military dog. However, contrary to their appearance, they are not hostile, but are confident, self assured and ever so slightly aloof. These fearless dogs are very affectionate towards those they consider family members, but may not seem personable to strangers for they are unlikely to make the first move. However, when approached by a stranger who they find acceptable, they will respond with affection. The temperament of a German shepherd is one of quite confidence, with the lack of exuberance. An adult German shepherd temperament can almost be termed as 'mature'. They are very loyal, forming strong bonds with family members. They have been known to defend owners against large animals such as bears. However, the negative aspect of this can often be a dog that is overprotective towards family members.
German Shepherd Peel and Stick Wall Decals
As German shepherds were bred for their intelligence, this trait is a trademark of the breed. They are very easy to train, and it is said that they pick up simple tasks after only five repetitions. Most of the time, they will respond to the first command. These qualities, along with their strength and ability, make them perfectly suited for police duties, guarding, and search and rescue operations. They also fit very well into roles of companions, blind leaders, herding dogs and guardians.

Bullmastiff

The Gentle Guardian is possibly the most appropriate description one could give to the Bullmastiff. This relatively little known breed of dog maybe the best choice for the family that wants good dependable protection for the family members and their home. Bullmastiff's often do not gain their full confidence until they are about two years old so the owner should not expect him to really come into his own until he reaches this age. After he matures he is one of the best if not the best watchdog available if a situation arises that requires his intervention.
Bullmastiff Dog Peel and Stick Wall Decals
Many people who see a bullmastiff playing with children or other friendly persons just cannot believe this breed can be anything but friendly, however if the need arises the Bullmastiff can quickly take on about a 180 degree change in his personality and can change from a friendly clown into the most determined attack dog imaginable, and punishment that would case some of the other breeds of dogs (that are famous for their viciousness) to let out a yelp and run for cover would just anger a Bullmastiff to a greater degree as he will fight any man or animal unto his death if necessary, To protect his master to whom he is so devoted.

Bulldog

This dog always wants to be close to the owner, and very often it is impossible to stop him from sleeping on the bed - next to you. Also any owner of a Bulldog can not deny their stubbornness. They are very assertive and like everything around them to be calm and quiet. These dogs are very silent, they are barking only when it is necessary and it is quite possible even, that for a few days you will not hear the voice of your pet.
Bulldog Peel and Stick Wall Decals
While the bulldog will generally get along with anyone and everybody they do tend to choose one person in particular and then stick with that person. The bond that the bulldog develops with his main carer and owner is like no other and they are completely devoted and thrive on attention and love, they do not do well when left alone for long periods of time. The bulldog isn't a dog that you can own and then ignore except for when you want it around, it is a companion dog and it does need lots of attention and above all love from its owner, this is not a dog that can be left alone outside in a kennel as it simply will not thrive without love and affection.
Bulldog Peel and Stick Wall Decals
While the bulldog is a very sweet adorable clown the breed does tend to have a mind of its own at times and can be very wilful, you do have to have a firm voice when it comes to training but it is essential that you are very persistent but patient when it comes to the training. Never ever be tempted to hit or jerk your bulldog around if it doesn't do as you want, they will not respond to this and will more often than not rebel against it.

How To Shape Your Body To The Sexiest It Has Ever Been!

You can shape a sexy body regardless of your body type! Use training techniques that will bring out the best of your body type.
You are most likely a combination of any of the following 4 basic body types. So don’t worry, just do the hard work based on your body type and follow your meal plan. If you don't eat properly, you won't shape your best body. Its possible to have layers of fat covering those hard-earned muscles!

Training Techniques That Are Good For All Body Types

a) Jump training (plyometrics) and other high-speed exercises can be incorporated into any workout for all body types. Plyometrics and high-speed training will give your body better definition and give you faster results. That is why athletes’ bodies are so well defined. Good jump training exercises are squat jumps, pike jumps, depth jumps, jump rope and box jumps.

b) Similarly, sprinting is one of the best body sculptor exercises available. Avoid long, steady-state cardio sessions (defined as 40 minutes or more) unless you are a beginner or recovering from illness or injuries. Too many slow, long, steady-state cardio sessions have been proven to waste away your valuable muscle mass.

Basic Body Types

Body types for women can be broken down into 4 basic types. Keep in mind that every woman needs to do core exercises like planks, bridges, bird dogs, cobras and back extensions regardless of body type. And, sprint interval cardio sessions (20 minutes per session) are superior for fat-burning and heart-health purposes. Some women may need extra ab work.

Body Type 1

A woman with a thin, linear shape is an ectomorph. Muscle mass needs to be built on the entire body. A woman with this body type has trouble gaining muscle mass.

Good strength exercises for body type 1:

Concentrate on compound movements like squats, bench press, deadlift, lunges, step ups, shoulder press and bentover rows to build major muscle groups and add definition to your body. Single joint exercises like calf raises, triceps dips, biceps curls and leg curls are needed to a lesser degree.

If you are an ectomorph, make sure you eat enough! Many times, a woman with a thin, linear body type can “eat anything she wants” and still have trouble gaining weight! Or, she will “eat like a bird” and remain skinny. So, weight training and proper eating is critical for building muscle if you have this body type.

Body Type 2

You have thin arms and legs with excess fat in the mid-section of your body. You need to burn abdominal fat and build muscle mass in the other parts of your body.Belly fat causes serious health problems! Scientist have learned much more about fat cells (adipose tissue) than ever before.

More from YourTango: 4 Tips To Get Your Body Lean and Toned This Summer

Researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis found that abdominal fat cells secrete inflammatory proteins that cause damage to blood vessels and other cells, leading to diseases like cancer, heart disease and Metabolic Syndrome.

Of course, don’t just focus on your belly fat. Focus on burning total body fat with full body circuit strength training and short, intense cardio sessions.

iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C: Apple's latest phones are evolution, not revolution

We were hoping that Apple would do something a little different this time out to justify the rumours.

But it would appear not. Luke Peters, editor of T3 Magazine, said: “Apart from the ground breaking new camera on the 5S, the launch of the new phones seems evolution rather than revolution.

“The introduction of the Touch ID will herald some advancement in security, and likely some pitfalls.”
“In retrospect it’s a shame that the phones were so conclusively leaked as the announcement didn’t feel like the surprise it normally does.

“Consumers looking to upgrade with a whole new raft of features may be disappointed, and for existing iPhone 5 users it may not make much sense to upgrade.

“The biggest story is the introduction of a lower cost mobile phone in the shape of the 5C, which would appeal to many new markets and will likely prove to be Apple’s biggest phone of 2013."

It may not be all we were hoping for, but here are the top five tech specs for the iPhone 5S, and for the full tech breakdown, check out T3’s iPhone 5s review.

New Processors

The flagship 5s is very much the main event though, sporting those leaked gold and space grey colourways, and the first 64-bit mobile chip in the world, the A7.

Alongside that bombshell, the new motion co-processor – the M7 – almost slipped by unnoticed, but this could mean a revolution in fitness apps as it constantly monitors your motion.

Fingerprint Sensor

Apple’s much-rumoured fingerprint scanning tech has a name. ‘Touch ID’ is now official on the 5S.

It’s 170 microns thin and built into your home button.

It scans your prints at a resolution of 500 ppi and scans sub-epidermal skin layers for accuracy.

Essentially the sapphire crystal in the sensor acts much like a lens, allowing the sensor to take a high resolution snapshot of your fingerprint, which it then analyses.

iOS7 and camera

Add to that iOS7, a significantly uprated camera package and a better battery performance, and you’re looking at a stunning tech package.

The camera has a 5-element Apple designed lens with a 15% larger active sensor area, and is heavily integrated with iOS 7.

It automatically sets white balance, exposure level and creates a dynamic local tone map. It autofocuses, has digital auto-image stabilization, and even picks your sharpest images for you.

Battery

The iPhone 5s offers an astonishing 250 hours of battery life in standby, 10 hours 3G talk time, 10 hours LTE browsing and 40 hours music playback.

  • Blow to Unlock: Micromax had been teasing that the Canvas 4 will have an innovative way of unlocking the screen and yes, it follows a really strange way. You have to blow to unlock, which is an all new type of gesture. Thankfully the other alternative is to 'shake' the phone -which we think is probably a saner option.
  • Video Pinning: The video pinning feature allows users to play the video in a small pop-up window on the homescreen while performing some other activity.
  • Simultaneous Video View: The video player also comes with swipe controls to adjust the volume and brightness and the handset automatically pause the video when the user looks away, just as in Smart Pause on Galaxy S4.
  • Smart Gestures: Users can simply flip the phone and make the screen face down to turn the device to silent mode.
  • Vertical Panorama: The 13-megapixel rear camera in the Canvas 4 is capable of capturing vertical panorama shots, which is quite rare in smartphones and, the camera also comes with features like optical image stabilization, HDR, 1080p video recording and burst mode which captures 99 pictures in 15 seconds.
  • OTA Update: Unlike the older Micromax smartphones, the Canvas 4 will support OTA (over the air) updates and hence, it will not be a tough challenge for users to download and install new firmware and software upgrades in the future.
